How to play
Blue Lock Rivals beginner guide
1. The basics
Blue Lock Rivals is a 5v5 third-person soccer brawler. Each match starts with a coin flip; whichever side wins gets first kickoff. Scoring is normal football: ball over the line, goal counts. First to the goal cap wins.
2. Controls (PC default)
- WASD — Move
- LMB — Pass / GK throw
- RMB — Shoot (hold to charge)
- Shift — Sprint
- Space — Boost / jump
- E — Slide tackle
- Q — Activate Flow
- F — Special / Style ability
See the full controls reference for mobile and console.
3. The gacha — Styles vs Flows
Styles change your character's base kit (Kaiser's curve shot, Bachira's dribble, etc.). Flows stack on top during Flow State to multiply your output. Earn spins by levelling up, completing weekly missions, and redeeming codes.
4. Fast levelling
- Stick to ranked once you hit level 10 — XP is roughly 2× casual.
- Pass-heavy games beat goal-only games for XP. Assists count.
- Daily login spin + first-win bonus is mandatory.
5. Build a winning loadout
Match a Style's strength to a Flow:
- Kaiser + Magnus Kaiser Impact — long-range king.
- Isagi + Metavision — playmaker that opens defences.
- Chigiri + Speedster — flank exploitation.
- Nagi + Flow State — easy-mode finisher.
