Dribbling guide

Core mechanic

While carrying the ball, hold Shift to sprint and tap Space to perform a directional boost. The boost has a 1.5s cooldown, so chain it with stamina-aware sprint pulses.

The sprint-cancel

Release Shift one frame before a defender slides — your hitbox shrinks for ~0.3s and the slide whiffs. This is the single most important tech in the game.

Style-specific techs

  • Bachira – Monster Dribble: Hold F mid-sprint. The ball clones into a phantom for 1.2s. Use it 1v1 in the box to confuse keepers.
  • Chigiri – Speedster Cut: Direction-change while at 95%+ stamina to phase past a defender. Great on the wing.
  • Bachira/Isagi combo: Bachira dribbles in, pass-and-go to Isagi who has Metavision active — almost a free goal.
  • Aiku – Counter Lord: Slows you slightly but lets you turn 360° without losing the ball.

Beating slide tackles

  1. Watch the defender's feet, not the ball indicator.
  2. When you see the wind-up animation, sprint-cancel and side-step.
  3. Counter-attack into the empty space they just vacated.

Stamina budgeting

Sprinting eats ~10 stamina per second. Never sprint in your own half unless tracking back — you'll arrive at the box gassed and lose the shot.
