Goalkeeper guide

Why GK is underrated

Most lobbies fight over striker roles, so volunteering as keeper means instant team approval and zero queue time. A good GK can solo-carry a low-rank match.

Positioning rules

  1. Default position: 2 metres off the goal line, dead-centre.
  2. When the ball is in the opponent's half, push to the edge of your box and play sweeper-keeper.
  3. 1-on-1: rush forward at full speed the moment the striker enters the D — narrow the angle, force a side decision.

Dive timing

The dive (LMB while ball is in flight) has a 0.4s recovery. Common mistakes:

  • Diving too early on charge shots. Wait until you see the shot animation finish.
  • Diving on feints. If the shooter pump-fakes (taps then releases without firing), don't commit.
  • Diving wrong way — watch the shooter's plant foot, not the ball.

Hand-of-god (special save)

Press F while diving to trigger your Style's GK ability. Examples:

  • Gagamaru – Wall: +30% dive range for 1 save.
  • Kaneshiro – Reflex: Auto-parries the next shot, but only one use per match.
  • Sae (GK build): Throws are 1.5× longer — great for fast counter-attacks.

Distribution

After a save, you have 4 seconds to throw. Always aim for the unmarked winger, not the centre forward — short throws to a midfielder are best on team servers.

Best GK Styles

  • S-tier: Gagamaru, Kaneshiro
  • A-tier: Aryu (long-throw build), Sae (utility build)
